Are you thirsty or hungry? Our standards are high and competition is healthy in Rossland.
So let’s start with the best drinking places in Rossland, some have food too:
ROSSLAND BEER COMPANY: The award winning Rossland Beer Company is situation on the corner of Washington and Columbia, 2 blocks from the Rossland Inn. Great atmosphere & sensational beer brewed on site. Open daily from 1-7 pm. www.rosslandbeer.com
THE FLYING STEAM SHOVEL: Kitty corner from the Rossland Inn, approx 50 feet if you are counting. The Shovel has a great history and really great food, entertainment, pool table, outside deck and friendly staff. www.theflyingsteamshovel.com
THE RED ROOM: A great tapas bar in the Prestige on Columbia, a 3 minute walk. Good for a beer, wine and food – great outdoor eating area and some excellent entertainment certain times of the year.
THE ROCK CUT BAR AND RESTAURANT: About a 3min drive towards Red Mountain Resort you will find the Rock Cut on the right hand side. Famous for it great outdoor seating over looking Red Mountain, a favorite in winter and summer.
And in winter – Rafters at the foot of Red Mountain is one of the best places for a drink. In winter it has a lot of entertainment and a free ride bus to and from Rossland town but more of about it closer to winter.
Are you up for a coffee?
THE ALPINE GRIND COFFEEHOUSE: Next to the post office on Columbia, the coffee is fantastic. Muffins, soups and specialty cakes are all handmade. My favorite is the salmon, capers and cream cheese bagel. Open 7-5pm weekdays & 8-4pm weekends.
CLANSEY’S: Unfortunately had a fire during summer 2017 and is at present being relocated. We look forward to supporting them as their fresh inventive food, licensed bar, excellent coffee and friendly staff are sorely missed.
Where would you like to eat tonight?
GABRIELLA’S: A wonderful authentic Italian restaurant in the Prestige, a 3 min walk to Columbia turn right and across the road you will see the Prestige. There is also a GABRIELLA’s at the foot of Red Resort at Red Mountain Village in winter.
AKA DAKE SUSHI: YUM! excellent Japanese, i recommend the sashimi. On Columbia just up from the Post Office and The Alpine Grind Coffeehouse. Open for lunch and dinner.
MOOK THAI: Flavorsome thai food, a wonderful selection of authentic thai food. The owner sources the spices from all over the word. Tom yum goong soup is one of my favorites. Great ambiance in a house situated at the cnr of Columbia and the road to Trail. Still walking distance from the Rossland Inn.
