Here's what some of our previous visitors say about their stay

“Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!”

Kimberley is a wonderful host and the home is beautifully situated, just blocks from Rossland’s charming downtown. She gave us a fabulous dinner recommendation – The Flying Steamshovel – which is across the street. This listing is ideal for families. Be prepared to fall in love with Rossland!

“We loved our time at Rossland”

We enjoyed our time in Rossland very much ; Kimberley was very responsive in her communications . She had made fresh muffins for our arrival that were a lovely treat after a long day of driving. The apartment was very comfortable; interestingly, there is an empty room between the living room and bedroom that we put to great use for stretching and yoga after our hiking each day. The apartment is a couple of minutes walk to the downtown core so is very accessible to everything

“The house was even better than the pictures”

My stay with Kimberley was amazing from beginning to end. I was here for a contract.  The suite was clean, comfortable, extremely well equipped, and felt like home. As a host she was extremely friendly and helpful, easy to get in touch with, and ensured I had everything I needed.

“We came for biking and found a lifestyle”

The four of us had a great 3-day stay in Rossland, mountain biking and enjoying the historic, scenic town. The apartment is in a great location – walking distance to everything. Spacious, clean and sunny with everything we needed. The mountain bike trail network is extensive and only a few blocks from the apartment. Kimberly greeted us right away, made sure we had everything including her home made banana bread. Kimberley and Peter, like everyone else we met, made us feel welcome in Rossland. We hope to return and would definitely stay there again.

“Homely and situated in downtown Rossland”

Outstanding accommodations and hosts. Kimberley and Pete were always proactive about making sure I didn’t need anything. Fantastic location. Just off of the main strip in Rossland, with easy access to restaurants and coffee shops and equally easy access to a huge network of trails to explore. Immaculate and comfortable. Everything you need is available. Quick access to Trail, a five minute drive down the hill. I would absolutely stay there again in the future and would certainly recommend it to anyone

“Such a cute town, super spot to stay”

A really well-furnished rental place. Could see staying here for a week-plus, especially in winter for the ski season, as this would basically be a home away from home. Great to have such a well-stocked cooking area with pots, pans, even a crock pot! Plus tinfoil and tupperware and other kind of sundries. There was construction on the road when we were staying, so a bit noisy during the day but very quiet at night. Literally across the street to 2 very nice places to eat and just a few blocks up from the main drag. Lots of parking though which was great.

“Close to the hiking trails”

Great stay! We were greeted at check in and got a proper tour of the place and suggestions of things to check out in town. Whenever we had a question we were able to get a reply from the hosts right away, and anytime we bumped into them on the property they were always super friendly, checking to see how everything was going. The apartment is very clean and spacious, a lot bigger than I was expecting!! The kitchen in fully equip with anything you might need including a dishwasher! It is located a very short walk to the downtown area and an even shorter walk to a nice little pub! There were maps for all of the hiking trails that are located in and around the city, which we took advantage of. There is lots to see and do in Rossland, I loved it. For a little town tucked away in the Kootenays, it has a lot going on! This was a great place!!!

“Rossland is a biking haven”

This was my second time staying in Kimberly’s place (this time with 2 girlfriends while we all did a trail running race) and I/we enjoyed it every bit as much as the first time. Unfortunately, Kimberly was away and we didn’t get to meet her in person (hopefully next time!), but she was still welcoming and helpful from afar. We did have the pleasure of meeting Pete, who welcomed us in-person, and ensured we had everything we needed. Kimberly is a very reliable communicator, answered any questions we had promptly, and when the battery ran out in the electric lock on the door, we let her know and Pete was over fixing it pretty much right away (thanks Pete!). The suite is very clean, bright, all 3 beds very comfortable, and the kitchen well-equipped. Downstairs gear storage area (easily fits 3-4 bikes), proximity to amenities and to mountain biking trail heads are all notable assets of this place. Thank you Kimberly and Pete, and hope to see you again soon!

“Comfy beds; downhill, xc close by”

We rented this apartment over Christmas this year 2015/2016. It was surprisingly spacious – really more like a townhouse as it had two stories. The kitchen was well equipped. There was a cool basement – great for ski storage and a work bench in it for waxing jobs. On arrival we found a bowl of fruit and also milk in the fridge for morning coffee – which was much appreciated. Kimberley checked in a couple of times by text to see how we were faring but did not disturb our privacy. Since we were familiar with the area we were fine – she also does ski hosting. The apartment was very quiet – both from neighbours and the Steam Shovel pub which is kitty corner. I had been a little worried about noise from the pub but it was complete non-issue even on New Years night. Clearly Rosslanders are a considerate lot! It was lovely to spend Christmas in Rossland – it is a very quaint , pretty town with everything one needs – all within a short walk of the apartment. We spent our days cross country ski-ing at Paulson and Black Jack XC areas, spent several days in the area of Seven Summits Ridge and Nancy Greene Pass, and also a trip to Kootenay Pass one day. We wouldn’t hesitate to come again! Thank you Kimberley!

“We loved Rossland”

The short version: we had a great time in Kimberley’s and Peter’s house and in and around Rossland. The longer version: Kimberley and Peter are just awsome nice hosts. Because of road closures we must drive an extra 5 hrs and could not arrive earlier than midnight. That was no problem for this nice couple: the door was open and on the doormat a welcome note. We further found fresh water, fruit and home made banana bread! The house itself was huge and comfortable. Fast WiFi. Clean rooms. Rossland is a nice, quiet little town in a marvellous natural mountain setting. We made a fine 3 hrs hike to Red Head Mountain and back. We can fully recommend staying at Kimberley’s and Peter’s!

“Relaxing apartment after a lot of travelling”

We had a lovely 2 night stay in Rossland with Kimberley and Peter. The apartment was very comfortable and fully equipped, it was such a pleasant surprise. The hosts are very friendly and helpful providing us with information about local activities, we loved the summer follies, and directions. Nancy Greene lake is a beautiful swimming lake. Great place and lovely people, highly recommend it 🙂
